I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
